The Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) visited and recommended 26 national high schools in Davao Oriental for the iSchools 2007 Project.
DNSC is a local partner of the Commission on Information and Information Technology (CICT) for the iSchools Project 2007.
The Institute of Information Technology Dean and CICT Coordinator of DNSC, Engr. Rogelio A. Masangkay visited twenty six national high schools under the supervision of the DepEd Davao Oriental Division Office on June 11 to 12, 2008.
Mr. Alfredo Siason Jr, DepEd ICT Coordinator of Davao Oriental requested that four additional national high schools in the area be visited so that recommendations be given to done as well.
The visit to these schools was quiet tough since part of some roads are unpaved and some schools are located uphill making the visit difficult.
It was found out that 14 out of the 26 schools are recipients of government computerization program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Education (DepEd), and the iSchools Project 2006.
